Welcome

Hello! My name is Shannon Taylor. I'm a former editor living in the woods of Wisconsin with my husband, four children, and lots of pets. I created this blog as a place to gather my thoughts and share ideas as I squeeze in some writing whenever the kids aren't looking.

Monster Cake

I love this cake from Makoodle. I can’t imagine getting the frosting to look like fur, but who knows? It could happen. And the cake pop eyes are awesome. You can find the directions here. Camille also has instructions for making really cute monster cupcakes. I think they’d be a great activity for a birthday or Halloween party.

I would take shredded coconut and tint it to make the “fur”. Ice the cake and then press the coconut over the cake.

Brilliant! I think I’d actually have a shot at that. Thank you. :-)
