Welcome

Hello! My name is Shannon Taylor. I'm a former editor living in the woods of Wisconsin with my husband, four children, and lots of pets. I created this blog as a place to gather my thoughts and share ideas as I squeeze in some writing whenever the kids aren't looking.

DIY: 5 Fun Halloween Ideas via Pinterest

There are so many great ideas out there on Pinterest, but as you probably know it can be a huge time-drainer. So I did the searching for you and found these five fantastic ideas to make your Halloween even more fun. I’ll keep pinning ideas, so be sure to check out my Halloween Inspiration board.

These Halloween Mis-Fortune cookies were sold on Etsy once upon a time, but no longer are. But I think they’d be pretty easy to put together. Wouldn’t they make a fun party favor for your guests to take home?

This cupcake made me laugh out loud. Aren’t the witch legs clever? So simple but guaranteed to bring a smile. You can find this and lots of other great ideas at Urban Comfort. I especially love the witch legs in the fireplace.

And now we’ll go from cute to creepy with these Vampire Cupcakes from Sugadeaux Cupcakes. Definitely morbid, but perfect for Halloween. I’d probably save these for older crowds, though!

This project is a little more complicated, but the bags are so cute they would be worth the effort. You will need some drawstring bags, iron-on transfer sheets, and the free printable found at Oscar + Emma Designs. Fill the bags with candy and you’re good to go!

And last but not least is this wonderful Haunted House Halloween Cut-Out from Sarah Jane Studios. With a few simple steps you can put together a project that will keep your little one happy and busy for hours. If your child really gets on a roll and makes a bunch of houses, Sarah suggests putting them together in a Haunted House Book!

My hubby is sitting beside me watching tv as I catch up on blogs… and he just laughed out loud at the fang bite mark cupcakes! Guess your blog is better than a movie! ;)
