Printable 2013 Oscar Ballot and Bingo
Oscar Night is almost here! Are you ready? Have you watched any of the nominated films?
I’ve seen exactly one: Frankenweenie.
I’m not quite sure how that happened, but no worries. I’m still printing out these Oscar ballots from How About Orange and making some predictions.
Jessica also has 20 different Oscar bingo game cards for you to print out. [...]

Hunger Games Party
Within seconds of the announcement that the Hunger Games movie would be released on August 18, Lexie asked if she could host a party to watch the movie. Alrighty, we said. So this past weekend Lexie and a handful of her friends gathered to channel their inner tributes and watch The Hunger Games.

Lily’s Birthday Party / Favors and Games
Grammy’s melting ice cream cone cake was the highlight of Lily’s party, but I think these ice cream container favors from One Charming Party were a close second.

Lily’s Birthday Party / “Ice Cream” Balloons and Cake

When I [...]

Cinco de Mayo / Weekend Links
Mini pinatas
Does your family celebrate Cinco de Mayo? I wouldn’t say we celebrate it exactly—we just use it as an excuse to go out for Mexican food. But seeing all these great ideas makes me want to put a little effort into doing something fun. I wonder if Lily and I can work on these [...]

Your Ideal Bookshelf / Weekend Links
A book-loving reader told me about Jane Mount, an artist who “paints portraits of people through the spines of their favorite books: the ones that changed your life, that defined who you are, that you read again and again.” Jane will paint your personal bookshelf, but she also sells prints of ready-made bookshelves that feature [...]

Bloom and Grow Earth Day Party
Earth Day is April 22nd, so all this week One Charming Party will be featuring ideas for you to host your own Bloom and Grow party. To be perfectly honest, I don’t see us hosting an Earth Day party in the midst of this insane Spring Sports/Dance Recital Prep/Field-Trips-Practically-Every-Day season. But my goal is to [...]
