A Mom's Year

Creating a comfortable life one moment at a time

S’mores a la Française

{ image from Stephmodo }

While we were shopping at Target the other day, I was happy to see that they carry La Petit Écolier (the little student) cookies. Have you ever had them? They’re one of my favorites. That reminded me of a link Design Mom shared last week for s’mores with a French twist. So I bought a couple of boxes (milk chocolate for the kids and Tim, dark chocolate for me) and some marshmallows and we gave them a try. We all liked them—maybe even a little more than regular s’mores because the cookies were less crumbly than graham crackers. And, anyway, it’s fun to add a little sophistication to our harum-scarum life.

    Oh, I love these! We have them everytime we have a bonfire. Haven’t used petit ecoliers yet, but definitely will next time!

Special Olympics athletes and staff had the honor of marching. Such an exciting day, and I got to meet actor Chris Burke who played Corky Thatcher on “Life Goes On.”
