The Runaway Pumpkin (and Cookies)

Do you have a favorite Halloween book? Around here, it’s The Runaway Pumpkin by Kevin Lewis. Have you heard of it? The book has great illustrations and is full of rollicking rhymes that are lots of fun to read aloud.

And what goes great with a book about pumpkins? Pumpkin cookies, of course! These soft iced pumpkin cookies are delicious and will make your home smell amazing.

I have The Runaway Pumpkin in front of me right now. (Have we discussed this book before, Shannon? I love it, too.) I think I’ll read it to Carlie this afternoon….
