A Mom's Year

Creating a comfortable life one moment at a time

Movie Night Invitations

For the past few years, we’ve celebrated the last day of school by gathering with friends and neighbors at a nearby drive-in theater to celebrate the last day of school. So I was happy to see this free printable invitation at Oh Happy Day. It’s perfect!

Jordan has promised to share more great ideas for throwing your own Movie Night, so be sure to visit her blog soon.

I’m thinking about making these Fruit Roll-Up Diplomas, or maybe even these, to hand out to the kids that night. I’ll have to wait and see what kind of week I’m having before I get too carried away…

hello from the design mom becky – it’s serendipitous that you wrote that because i was just thinking that i didn’t just want to do monthly pictures for our baby to come – but somehow incorporate them into a quilt – like monthly hearts on a big silhouette of ethiopia…i would love a link to this (i need ideas!)…thanks so much. becky

After dropping Lily at volleyball practice yesterd After dropping Lily at volleyball practice yesterday, I stopped at @coquettebakeshop for chocolate croissants. While I was waiting for my latte, a woman and two small children came out of @littleislandcrafts . As they walked past me, the girl (maybe 6?) looked up and said, “Hola, amiga.” I replied, “Hola!” She walked a few more steps, then turned and said, solemnly, “I don’t really speak Spanish.” ❤️😂
