A Mom's Year

Creating a comfortable life one moment at a time

July 4, 2012

Happy Independence Day!

I’m thankful for so many blessings today—family, friends, community, and the wonderful freedoms that we enjoy. Most of all, I’m thankful for my husband, whom I met under a shower of fireworks at the foot of the Washington Monument 20 years ago today.

I could list so many things that I love about Tim—he’s a good father, he’s my best friend, he makes me laugh, he’s loyal and hardworking. But what I love most is that whenever he’s around, I know that everything will be okay.

Happy Anniversary to Tim and Happy Fourth of July to all of you!

Wow. That’s the kind of first meeting that encourages someone to write a screenplay. 🙂 Happy 4th you two!!

Happy story! Happy 4th of July to you both. I too met my husband on the 4th of July ( in DC on the capitol lawn for the fireworks and the National Symphony Orchestra concert). It’s been 19 years for us . I love him and I love that we met that way.

No way, Soleil! That’s too amazing that we both met our future husbands that way!

We did end up having a great 4th. Hope you all did, too.
